How To Make Hair Silky

Everyone wants beautiful, shiny, silky hair, but many people can’t afford salon quality products. Fortunately, you don’t need a lot of money to have beautiful, silky, healthy hair. A combination of using the right products, the right hair routine for your personal hair type, and avoiding activities that will damage your hair is all you need to have beautiful soft hair.

Before the age of hair dryers, flat irons, sprays, mousses and chemical treatments, our grandmothers knew how to make hair silky, and they didn’t spend a fortune or take any exotic steps to do it. The most important part of keeping hair silky is avoiding anything that will strip the hair’s natural moisture away, This includes using harsh sulphate-containg shampoos, swimming in chlorinated water, and overstyling the hair.

Most hair only needs to be washed once or twice a week, and there are many people who say that curly or wavy hair should never be shampooed at all. Instead, use a good conditioner the same as you would shampoo, then use conditioner again and don’t rinse it out. The result: beautiful, frizz-free, shiny, silky hair. An excess of styling products, especially those that are alcohol based, should also be avoided as they tend to both strip the hair’s natural protection and lead to dulling build up.

If your hair is already damaged, there are a few natural remedies you can do to restore some of the natural beauty. First, remove any excess build-up by mixing a 50:50 solution of white vinegar and water. Pour the mixture over your hair, wait ten minutes, and then rinse it out. Once build-up is removed, the hair can be deep conditioned using egg yolk, olive oil, jojoba oil, or aloe vera gel. Simply massage one of the conditioning agents into the hair and scalp, wait a few minutes, and then rinse well.

If hair is badly damaged, sometimes all you can do is get a good cut to get rid of split ends, and give the hair time to recover from its past mistreatment. During the rest period, avoid any drying agents, and just allow your hair to regain the beauty that nature intended it to have.
