If you are making a style of hair that needs to keep in the same form, you are going to prefer using hair gel over the other stuff - like mousse. Also, hair gel adds shine and smoothness to your hair.
Okay, let us go into how to make hair gel. This is going to be simple and you are going to need not that much different things in order to be able to do it. So, it is going to be if not very simple then at least be simple.
First, get some gelatin. Unflavored kind. You will need one teaspoon. Then one cup of warm water. Get a jar, that is clean, and blend them in that jar. The gelatin needs to be dissolving. Into the fridge with this mix. In the fridge it will thicken - and do so for many hours.
For another hair gel you need flax seed. The amount 2 tablespoons. You should get one cup of water, and add the flax seed into it. They are going to be boiling together. After that, they should cool down for half an hour. Get a coolander and let strain. Then you are going to put lavender oil in this. Get a jar with lid, and put this mix into it. Oh, the jar needs to be of the wide-mouthed kind - make sure that it is.
